Note: This operation needs to be performed outdoors in an open and unobstructed area, while ensuring there are clear stars visible.

This tutorial will guide you on how to use the Equatorial Mount Mode with Seestar. The Equatorial Mount Mode compensates for the Earth’s rotation, enabling longer exposure times, stable tracking, and reduced field rotation effects on images, thereby improving imaging quality.

    Prepare Required Items

    • Tripod
    • Seestar telescope
    • TH10 Mount

Step 1 Set Up the Tripod

Unfold and level the tripod, ensuring one of its legs is oriented toward true north.

Attach the quick-release plate to the bottom of Seestar and secure it. Then, mount the Seestar onto the tripod. Ensure the vertical center of the device aligns with one of the tripod legs (preferably the north-facing leg) to prevent tipping.

Note: The bottom thread of Seestar is 3/8", while the TH10 screw is 1/4". Install the adapter screw before mounting.

    Step 2 Connect Your Device

Power on your Seestar and connect it to your mobile phone.

Tap "Me" at the bottom to enter the user page. Select "Advanced Features," then navigate to "Mount Mode" and watch the tutorial video. Follow the in-app instructions to adjust the Seestar mount angle.

Note: This operation must be performed outdoors in an open, unobstructed area.
