How to Get & Use Seestar RTSP Streaming Address

    RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) is a network protocol used for delivering live video streams.

    In simple terms, it allows you to receive and view the Seestar's live video feed directly on your computer via a network address —ideal for public astronomy events or sharing a viewing session with friends and family.

    Note: Live streaming is currently supported in Landscape Mode and Solar System Mode only. It is not available in Stargazing Mode.

    1. Seestar Setup Steps

    1. Make sure your phone connects to Seestar, then use the Seestar App to connect the device to a local Wi-Fi network with internet access via Station Mode.
    2. After successful network bridging, switch your mobile phone to connect to that same Wi-Fi network.
    3. Navigate to Seestar Settings → Advanced Feature.

    1. Tap the "Get" button beside RTSP Address to generate your unique RTSP streaming address.

    Click Get button to generate and copy Seestar RTSP address

    2.View Live Stream on Computer (Take VLC Player as Example)

    On another device connected to the same local network, open VLC Media Player or any RTSP-supported media player, then follow the steps below:

    1. Launch VLC Media Player and click the Media menu on the top navigation bar.

    1. Choose Open Network Stream from the dropdown list.

    1. Stay on the Network tab, paste the copied RTSP address into the input box, then click Play to load the real-time live view from Seestar.
